Q&A with the CEO

 In Letters from Brian

Brian Holden

In honor of our 20th Anniversary, we are highlighting our Founder and CEO, Brian Holden. Read along to find out what makes him “tick:”

What advice would you give a young person just starting out?

“Be the best at what you do, and the money/titles/success will take care of itself.
If you worry about money/titles/success, it will not work.”

What profession would you choose if you weren’t working at A/R Funding?

“Coaching of some sort.”

Is there a particular client success story that sticks out in your mind?

“We had a client sell their business for $50 million. They had been with A/R Funding for about two and a half years.”

What is your favorite time of year and why?

“Christmas. It’s a time for family and reflecting on past years as well as the present. Football that time of year is not that bad either.”

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

“Golf, being around family and friends, lake activities.”

If you were asked to quit your job and donate all your time to a non-profit organization,  which one would you choose and why?

“Brookwood Church and the Salvation Army Boys Club. I love making a difference in someone else’s life, especially young people. These organizations made a big difference in mine.”

Is your desk messy or neat?

What is your favorite Upstate hiding place?

Where is your favorite place to eat in Greenville?

“Chophouse 47.”

Mountains or beach?
